Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: DIBRUGARH TO NAMSAI (120 KMS | 3 HRS)
- Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport. Meet your fellow travellers and Trip Captain.
- Drive to Namsai- the "Land of Golden Pagodas" in Lower Arunachal Pradesh (3 hrs).
- Check in to your riverside stay- one of the most scenic and serene properties of the entire trip.
- Evening at leisure- games, music, and your ice-breaking session with the group by the river.
- Dinner & O/N at Namsai.
DAY 2: NAMSAI TO WALONG (250 KMS | 8 HRS)
- After breakfast, depart for Walong- one of India's easternmost towns.
- Drive through Tezu for a lunch pit stop, passing through dense forests and the dramatic Lohit River gorge.
- The road hugs the Lohit River for much of the journey- hanging bridges, tribal villages, and raw frontier landscapes all the way.
- Arrive Walong by late evening. Check in.
- Dinner & O/N at Walong.
DAY 3: DONG SUNRISE TREK & KAHO- INDIA'S EASTERN FRONTIER
- Wake up at 1:00 AM. Drive a short stretch, then begin the Dong Sunrise Trek- approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of uphill trekking in the dark, guided by torchlight through pine forests.
- Reach the ridge viewpoint before dawn and witness the first rays of sunlight falling on Indian soil, a moment that makes every step worth it.
- Post sunrise, descend and have breakfast.
- Drive to Kaho- India's last village on the Indo-China LAC, home to the Meyor tribe. China is visible from here.
- Interact with locals, hear stories of life on the frontier, and soak in what it means to stand at the very edge of India.
- Return to Walong. Leisure evening by the Lohit River.
- Dinner & O/N at Walong.
DAY 4: WALONG TO ROING (250 KMS | 8 HRS)
- After breakfast, drive back towards Roing, headquarters of Lower Dibang Valley
- En route, pay your respects at the Walong War Memorial, a moving tribute to the soldiers who held this frontier during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
- Arrive Roing by evening. Check in.
- Explore the local market or chill by the riverside cafe.
- Dinner & O/N at Roing.
DAY 5: ROING TO ANINI (220 KMS | 7 HRS)
- After breakfast, depart for Anini, one of India's most remote district headquarters, bordering China.
- Cross the stunning Mayudia Pass (2,655 m), a highlight of the drive with dense forests, rolling mist, and views of the snow-dusted Mishmi Hills.
- The Dibang River accompanies you for most of the journey.
- Arrive Anini, check in.
- Stroll through this quiet frontier town, home almost entirely to the Idu Mishmi tribe.
- Dinner & O/N at Anini.
DAY 6: EMULI GRASSLANDS & MATU WATERFALL RESORT STAY
- After breakfast, drive to the Emuli Grasslands- a sweeping highaltitude meadow framed by snow-capped peaks, with near-zero footfall. Pure wilderness.
- Continue to Matu, home to a one-of-a-kind resort built right at the base of the Matu Waterfall. The sound of the falls is your constant companion here.
- Check in. Afternoon entirely at leisure- sit by the falls and relax.
- Dinner & O/N at Matu Waterfall Resort.
DAY 7: CHIGGU CAMP | BRUNI | MAWU WATERFALL — BACK TO ANIN
- After breakfast, visit Chiggu Camp- a remote wilderness camp set deep in old-growth Dibang forest and surrounded by mesmerising views of mountains and waterfalls.
- Drive to Bruni- a high-altitude village situated in a sensitive border area of Dibang Valley near the China frontier. A rare window into life at the very edge of India. Interact with Army Officials if they allow.
- Visit Mawu Waterfall, a stunning cascade hidden deep in the valley. Short trek to the base.
- Drive back to Anini by evening. Check in, freshen up.
- Group dinner, stories, and memories from the journey.
- Dinner & O/N at Anini.
DAY 8: ANINI TO ROING (250 KMS | 8 HRS
- After breakfast, begin the drive back to Roing.
- Last long look at the Dibang Valley as the mountains give way to the foothills.
- Arrive Roing by evening. Check in.
- Relax, recharge, exchange photos and memories with the group.
- Dinner & O/N at Roing.
DAY 9: DEPARTURE
- After breakfast, drive to Dibrugarh Airport (3 hrs).
- Time for goodbye hugs and promises of the next adventure with Trekkers Tribe :')

Cancellation Policy
Non-Refundable Amount :
- The initial booking amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Cancellation Policy:
- Before 7 days of the trip:
- If canceled before making the full payment, only the non-refundable amount will be retained.
- Between 7 to 5 days before the trip:
- If canceled after paying the full amount, 50% of the balance amount (excluding the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded.
- Within 5 days of the trip: No refund will be provided if canceled within 5 days of the trip start date.
No Show / Last-Minute Cancellations:
- If the participant fails to show up or cancels within 48 hours of departure, no refund will be possible.
Transfer of Booking:
- The participant may transfer their booking to another person at no extra cost, provided this is done at least 5 days before the trip.
Trip Cancellation by Us:
- If the trip is canceled by our team due to weather conditions, government restrictions, or operational reasons, the participant will be offered:
- A full refund (except for any non-refundable costs already incurred) OR credit for a future trip, which can be used within a specific period.
Notes
- Company's vehicle will only be accessible till parking areas.
- The schedule can be changed on the spot by the manager according to the circumstances and convenience.
- Participants should be prepared for delayed lunch halts depending on road, weather, and travel conditions.
- Please avoid carrying suitcases or heavy luggage, as a backpack is more convenient and comfortable during the journey.
- To ensure smooth transportation, each participant is requested to limit their baggage to 1 main luggage bag and 1 small daypack.
- Any cost arising out of any event beyond our control like strike, bandh, riots, flight cancellations, mechanical breakdown, natural calamity like heavy rainfall, landslides, snowfall, earthquake will be directly borne by the guests.
- Trekkers Tribe won't be responsible in case any sightseeing/ activity gets cancelled due to any natural calamities or man- made incidents.
- Guests would be responsible for safety of their luggage/ baggage throughout the trip.
- Arunachal Pradesh and specially this offbeat side is a developing state, the food taste might & variety might not be as you expect in a City. You can expect basic meals & decent taste.
- If at all the trip gets cancelled due to any event beyond our control or lockdown a nominal cancellation fees of 8% will be charged and guest will get the credit note of the remaining amount paid by them which can be used anytime in the near future.
